Ticket to Ride: India + Switzerland presents players with two new map boards:

India:

• India - set in 1911 with India still under the rule of the British Raj
• Suitable for 2-4 players
• The map is a tight grid, with very few 'grey' routes - most of those represent coastal ferry routes and require a locomotive card
• Only the 4-player game may use the second route between two cities
• Once the central routes have been taken, players have to start looking for 'roundabout' routes
• This leads to additional scoring possibilities for 'Grand Tours' - a special rule for Ticket to Ride: India states that if a player has linked two cities with two separate routes (a Grand Tour) every ticket the player has for pairs of cities along that route earns extra points

Switzerland:

• Switzerland - specifically designed for 2 and 3 players 
• Only the 3-player game may use the second route between two cities
• There a lots of tunnels on this map (using the tunnel rules from Ticket to Ride: Europe)
• Switzerland is bordered by many countries, so there are tickets available for linking city-to-country and country-to-country
