Ticket to Ride: India + Switzerland presents players with two new map boards:
The India map expansion set in 1911 with India still under the rule of the British Raj, and still uses the old city names. It was designed to reflect the colour and variety that is India, with very few 'grey' routes. It also shows the crowded nature of the country, with many of the routes criss-crossing the board in a grid. The challenge when playing Ticket to Ride: India is having key routes taken by another player and having to find another way around. This expansion feature a new concept: the Mandala, where bonus points can be earned for building circular routes
The Switzerland map expansion contains a map board of Switzerland and the borders with its neighbours. It was specifically designed for 2 or 3 players. As Switzerland is a small country, many of the routes are very short, but they are also mountainous, so tunnels are a common feature. It comes with its own set of Destination Cards, including a new type of card that allows a destination to be any one of the neighbouring countries. You can also build country-to-country routes
This is an expansion; what do I need to play it?
You will need the plastic carriages, trains cards and score markers found in either Ticket to Ride, Ticket to Ride: Europe or Ticket to Ride: Nordic Countries
