In the 19th century, engineers, visionaries and financiers built the rail lines across America that made the modern world possible. Steel Driver the board game follows the construction of the American railroad network.
The name Steel Driver goes back to the Legend of John Henry. He was a "steel driver" who hammered blasting holes into the rock with sharp steel spikes.
In Steel Driver each player takes the role of an investor handling the massive amounts of capital that were available for railroad development. The players bid for control of railroad companies, which earn them money. After the last five game rounds a special scoring phase occurs. Now the final value of each company is determined. The winner is the player with the most cash.
This is the Second Edition of Steel Driver.
