Players form two-person teams and each team gets a set of cards with nonsense words in a different language that correspond to six different tourists. One player in each team is responsible for correctly arranging the six tourists on their seats in the train. The other player is the Train Conductor, who must tell the tourists where to sit. The problem is that the Train Conductor speaks a different language.
The Conductor may only use the nonsense words and three simple hand movements to direct their team-mate as he tries to put the tourists into the correct order. The first Conductor to correctly place the tourists shouts "Loco Motive" and wins!
Loco Motive has also been published under the title: Tokyo Train.
