The ceiling in the cathedral is getting on a bit and is in urgent need of restoration. The bishop is awaiting important visitors and wants to show off his church from its best side. The players slip into the role of the fresco painters in this colourful family game and have to prove their abilities. Players start with 5 workers and must plan their day's tasks. The artisans must get up early in the morning in order to buy the pigments they need for their work, but if you are early the market prices are at their peak. Best leave it 'til later when the price has dropped - but then the popular colours may have sold out. Once purchased the paints have to be mixed. Extra money can be earned by painting a portrait so there is plenty for your apprentices to do. Worker morale can be a factor, too, so it's a good idea to send the lads along to the theatre in the evening - that ought to cheer them up.
This fascinating game also contains 3 expansion modules which can be combined with the basic game:
- The Bishop's Request
- The Portraits
- Special Blend Paints
