Dominion: Intrigue is an unusual card game: during the game you are building your deck by playing cards from your hand to buy more cards for the selection of Kingdom cards on the table. When your hand is empty, you refresh it from your deck - soon bringing in the newly bought cards. Of course, you also have to buy some Estate cards during the game - these won't help you build your deck, but they do carry the all-important Victory Points, which determine the winner. For each game, you select 10 of the 25 Kingdom card types to be bought during the game - providing immense variety.
Dominion: Intrigue is both a stand-alone card game and an expansion for the base game, Dominion.
Dominion: Intrigue adds rules for playing with up to 8 players at two tables or for playing a single game with up to 6 players. This game adds 25 new Kingdom cards and a complete set of Treasure and Victory cards. The game can be played alone by players experienced in Dominion or with the basic game of Dominion.
The new Kingdom cards include: Baron, Bridge, Conspirator, Coppersmith, Courtyard, Ironworks, Masquerade, Mining Village, Minion, Pawn, Saboteur, Scout, Secret Chamber, Shanty Town, Steward, Swindler, Torturer, Trading Post, Tribute, Upgrade and Wishing Well
