The first expansion to the revolutionary Stonehenge: An Anthology Board Game is Stonehenge: Nocturne. This expansion continues the tradition of bringing the best board game designers in the world together to work on different games using the same pieces.
Stonehenge: Nocturne features three wildly different games by four world-class designers.
- From Klaus-Jürgen Wrede, the designer of Carcassonne, comes "Sun & Moon," which pits two cults against each other in a contest to build Stonehenge's iconic trilithons.
- Bruno Cathala and Serge Laget, best known for Shadows over Camelot, contribute "The Star Gate," which combines elements of Mastermind and Cluedo as players attempt to determine the solution to a puzzle that will change Stonehenge into an alien gateway to the stars.
- Looney Labs' Andrew Looney created "Stonehenge Hippie Festival," a far-out game where each player has their own secret victory conditions.
- And our own Mike Selinker designed Stonehenge's first solitaire game, "Battle of the Beanfield," which tasks you to get participants in an unofficial festival onto a bus before the cops arrive.
Nocturne also expands Stonehenge by introducing pieces for sixth and seventh players. Previously published games can also be played with these extra pieces.
