Welcome to the world of Khet, the game that combines lasers with classic strategy for an experience enjoyed by players of all ages.
Players alternate turns moving Egyptian themed pieces with two, one or no mirrored surfaces. All four pieces (pharaoh, obelisk, pyramid and djed column) can either move one square forward, back, left, right, or diagonal, or can stay in the same square and rotate by a quarter twist. Each turn ends by firing one of the lasers built into the board. The laser beam bounces from mirror to mirror; if the beam strikes a non-mirrored surface on any piece, it is immediately removed from the play. The ultimate goal is to illuminate your opponent's pharaoh, while shielding yours from harm!
Khet (pronounced like Ket) - this Egyptian symbol represents a lamp from which a flame emerges. In Ancient Egypt, the reigning pharaoh would light fires to symbolise his rule as supreme king and represent his control over enemies near and far. The modern day game of Khet has brought the pharaoh's reign back to life replacing his flame with technologically advanced lasers that serve to attack his opposition and defend him from harm. Will you be able to master the modern flame and create your own dynasty?
After you have begun to master the game with one laser, can you up the ante and handle three? The Eye of Horus beam splitter piece (not included in the Khet game) splits one laser beam into two when hit by reflecting half of the beam and transmitting the other half right through for twice the strategy and excitement!
Contains two Class I Laser Diodes (categorised as 'Eye-Safe') and conforms with European toy standards. The game is designed to keep the laser in the field when all the pieces are securely fitted into their squares.
