Gulo Junior has been captured caught by the Lady Swamp Vulture while attempting to steal one of her eggs and has now been arrested. There is only one thing left to do: get the family together and search for the little tike, but the Gulos cannot resist passing a nest without stealing an egg. Whoever jumps the furthest, gets to Gulo junior first and can win the game.
Gulo Gulo is a manual dexterity game that both adults and children can enjoy. Success lies in picking the right coloured wooden egg from the basket, so children, with their smaller fingers, often do better than their grown-up opponents.
How to Play
Players are trying to be the first to find the whereabouts of Gulo Junior. Players have two choices to make each turn, they can flip over a path tile (each path tile is coloured one of the four main colours - red, blue, yellow and green), whatever colour the tile the player must then pinch an egg from the wooden nest of the same colour. The other choice is to steal an egg of a particular colour from the nest. If a player successfully steals an egg from the nest they move their Gulo to the next tile of that same colour - and so move along the path toward Gulo Junior.
The trick is that in the nest of eggs there is a carefully balanced Anti-Gulo-Alarm system (a pole with a weight on it) and if that tips over, the alarm goes off and the offending player must move their Gulo piece backwards.
