Protect the world from the malign horror of the Ancient Ones! The town of Arkham, Massachusetts, is in a panic. Horrific and bizarre events have begun to occur with increasing frequency - all seeming to point towards some cataclysmic event in the near future that may spell disaster for everyone.
Players can select from 16 investigator characters, each with unique abilities, visit various locations in the town fighting monsters and finding clues and save Arkham from the Great Old Ones and destruction!
Arkham Horror is very different from most board games as it is more focused on the adventure for the sake of adventure, rather than winning or losing. In fact, a well-played loss can often be as much fun to the players as a victory. It is the story that is important; that and the fun the players can have immersing in it.
GKG Comment: This is a co-operative game where the player(s) work against the game. It is a deep and complicated game that will take some preparation and several hours to play. However, it will reward this effort with a great sense of satisfaction.
